Icelandic weather is famously unpredictable — and Iris & Adrian’s elopement had it all.

From 140 km/h wind gusts and sandstorms to warm sunshine and a clear sky, it felt like we experienced four seasons in one.

Iris & Adrian’s elopement experience began quietly at a cozy Airbnb, where they got ready together before we set off to explore the south coast between Vík and Höfn.

Out on the open roads, they ran hand in hand, the wild landscape all around them. Later, in the middle of a vast blooming lupine field, they read their vows — an intimate and breathtaking moment surrounded by endless purple and snow-covered mountain peaks.

During Icelandic summers, the light stretches well into the night, giving wonderfully long days and constantly shifting moods. From there, we wandered through green fields for bridal portraits, stopped at a black sand beach, and chased the changing light across the coast. Each place brought a new mood, and together the elopement became a mix of adventure, quiet connection, and the raw beauty of Iceland itself.
